Purpose/Overview

Leading a mission-based community is not easy. It takes a lot of sacrifice, commitment, faith, perseverance, and teamwork. As we read about the early church in the NT we see that helping lead God’s mission in the world is not about a life of comfort and ease. There is certainly a cost. It is good for leaders to gather together on occasion, assess where they have been, dream about the future, and set some realistic goals for the next season of ministry. Apart from a set-aside time to do this, most leaders are too busy to reflect on the past and discover a fresh vision for the future.

This process, as well as engaging in further training and development of what it means to lead a mid-size community on mission, is the purpose of this leadership training weekend. The event will begin Friday night with a nice sit-down dinner followed by various training and reflection segments both Friday night and Saturday. There will also be childcare available on Friday night and a full children’s program on Saturday (fifth grade and below). The goal is that this weekend will be rejuvenating, encouraging, and empowering for the spread of God’s Kingdom both locally and throughout the world.

An detailed overview of the event will be posted soon...
